Established in 2025

The Moeangiangi Station Cadet Training Trust was established in 2025 by the Waipaoa Station Farm Cadet Training Trust and the Joan Fernie Charitable Trust.

After Waipaoa’s 17-year track record of developing skilled young farmers on the East Coast, this partnership is the next chapter in agricultural education at Moeangiangi Station.

About Moeangiangi Station

Moeangiangi Station is one of the East Coast’s original hill country stations located at Putorino, 159 kilometres south of Gisborne and 59 kilometres north of Napier.

The operation runs 28,000 stock units across 3,655 hectares of country ranging from coastal finishing to steep hill – a true New Zealand station setting the strong foundation for cadets to begin their careers.
